This is incredible.
A couple wonderful examples of his logic:
- “many people here don't setup rules to filter their email into separate buckets“
- “some of my coworkers have so many rules that they can't add anymore“
- “RSS is usable not just in an email client“
I understand that it is his usual tactic of throwing any argument remotely possible at whatever position he's decided to promote, but damn there is some faulty thinking in this post. I predict a post soon along these lines:
Why RSS is Better Than Automobiles
- RSS fights terrorism because cars use gas and gas comes from oil and oil comes from countries where terrorists live.
- When RSS breaks, you can fix it with notepad. My car cost so much the last time it broke down that I could have bought a copy of Visual Studio with the money.
- RSS incurs no import tariffs when coming from overseas into the US, unlike many auto parts.
- RSS doesn't require a license to operate.
- RSS is easier to subscribe and unsubscribe from.
Go ahead and add any other items totally unrelated if you want, as long as it makes RSS look good, I'm down!
