Egghead Cafe and Lokas Software have given the world free (as in speech, beer, puppies, etc) icons.
Get 'em here. They're a bit cartoony, but better than anything I could do. If you can do better and want give them away under the same lack of restrictions, please, by all means consider this a challenge.
