I didn't win a copy of Mike Gunderloy's Coder to Developer, so I bought myself a copy today. I'm only on the second chapter but so far it seems to be as good as everyone says. I really like the style and tone Mike uses and the fact that the book has a lot of "what" and "how" but, most importantly, also explains "why". I also like the fact that it isn't focused on code, it is focused on ideas and processes, which means it won't be completely out of date when the next version of Visual Studio, PHP, or Java is released.
