WordPress 1.5 Released

WordPress 1.5 is out.

WordPress, if you don't know, is a great open source blogging system that runs on php/MySQL and runs so many incredible sites that I won't even bother trying to name them but... for you MS fans, I'll just link to Scoble's Link Blog as an example of an un-altered version (of WordPress 1.3, I believe) and Binary Bonsai as an example of a customized version.

I have a couple WordPress blogs and LOVE them. I can't wait to see what the new version has (hopefully my alterations won't be too hard to work in to the newer version).

Do you install WordPress on 2003/IIS? Do you recommend that config?

The WordPress blogs I've set up are all on Apache /Linux. The LAMP config was the original reason I used WordPress but I immediately became a fan. I've considered movie this blog to WordPress on this server (win2k3) but laziness makes sure I don't make any brash decisions.
I'm going to set up CommunityServer 1.0 in the next week, it does a LOT more than just a blog which is great but also means making little tweaks is a royal pain compared to the ease of use of WordPress.

If you're comfortable with (or curious about) php (and possibly MySQL), you should dive into a WordPress blog, it's about as fun as something like that can get.
