This is probably the only place I'll ever call it a Scoblephone because in "the real world", nobody would know what I'm talking about. For them, it is the Audiovox SMT 5600. I resisted the phone for months because it isn't a flip phone and that is usually a showstopper for me. I'm definitely not happy about that but there just isn't a good MS Mobile flip phone. I waited months for the Motorola MPx 220 and that phone turned out to be the worst phone I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Even after 2 or 3 recalls, the phone is still a piece of junk. But even if it did work, it still falls behind the 5600 in pretty much every category (including screensize) except for the fact that the Motorola is a flip.
So far, the phone is great. I'm looking forward to finally getting to build some toys in VS.NET and play with them on the phone instead of being stuck in that emulator.
If you're in the market for a new phone, Cingular has the 5600 for $250 with 2-year contract (online only, I haven't found any stores that have these yet). If you don't want/need a smartphone, they have the silver Motorola RAZR for $199.
