Anyone under the age of 40 has more than likely heard of "drunk dialing". Wired is reporting that mobile phone maker LG is now releasing 3 mobile phones (the SD410, KP4100 and LP4100) with built-in breathalyzers. I guess they will try to claim that it will help with drunk driving, but let's be honest: the legally drunk blood alcohol level in the USA is too low for anyone to avoid except for those who drink a single drink. And who drinks a single drink and then has to ask their mobile phone if they're drunk?
No, the real beauty of this is going to be when the API will allow someone to write software that blocks access to certain phone numbers unless the owner can pass the breathalyzer.
